Brazilian AF F-5E incident.
13-21 red, white and green spheres of light (ball of light) were seen moving across skies north and south of city. Speeds 160 and 990 mph. Chased by civilian pilot and AF jets. Objects outflew jets. Objects were tracked by radar and sighted visually. More than 13 multi-colored balls were observed in clear weather by ten male military witnesses, typical age 30, in a warplane for over 15 minutes (Marinho; Silva; De Freitas,Viriato). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: RV: Radar-Visual UFO reports Vallee rating: MA2: MA1 plus any physical effects caused by the UFO. Vallee reliability rating: 313: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a casual person not familiar with the phenomena; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
