Teenagers become hysterical as boomerang paced Jeep, passed 200-300 feet overhead, hovered over telephone lines.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One V-shaped object, about 300 feet across, around 300 feet away, was observed by four witnesses on a highway for ten minutes (Galli; Mallon). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
