Three red "glowing torches" described also as "balls of floating fire" went up and down in a field .25 miles away, possible 14' diameter landing area.
Objects were observed. They moved with a falling-leaf motion. Three red balls, around 500 feet away, were observed by three experienced witnesses on a road (Lane).
