16 October 1985 : Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA 
Two witnesses, four groups of three nocturnal lights each, maneuver low, buzzing sound, north rapidly to the south overhead, 5 minutes duration.
Unusual objects were sighted, that had unconventional appearance and performance. 12 lights were observed by two witnesses for five minutes. A buzzing sound was heard. Hynek rating: NL: Nocturnal Lights Vallee rating: MA1: A UFO has been observed which travels in a discontinuous trajectory. i.e. vertical drops, maneuvers or loops.
