60'-90 feet hexagon with two sets of red and green lights, 90 degree turn, lights on corners. Soft "whoosh" sound as object passed, like gas escaping from propane tank.
An object was observed from a car. One multi-colored polygonal object, about 80 feet across, around 500 feet away, was observed by two experienced male witnesses on a road for 4.5 minutes (Matson, Russell). A whooshing sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area. Vallee reliability rating: 333: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
