12 July 1980 Around 2300 Urbandale, Iowa, USA 
Professor incident.
Three round sharply defined light spots in triangular formation, upper one larger than other two. Smaller ones seen zig-zagging and coming together with larger one, 20 minutes, until all three abruptly vanished. Objects were observed. They zig-zagged through the air. Three formations of objects were observed by two witnesses, a married couple, at a house for 20 minutes. Hynek rating: NL: Nocturnal Lights Vallee rating: MA1: A UFO has been observed which travels in a discontinuous trajectory. i.e. vertical drops, maneuvers or loops.
