In July 1988 04:00 Plainfield, Indiana, USA 
Five balls of light 1.5-2' diameter, 5-6 outside bedroom window. Changed from white discs to "big bubbles" of pulsing blue light. Changed color to orange, back to disc shape. Shot straight up.
Objects were observed. They departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. Five changing color shifting-shape objects, about 2 feet across, about four feet away, were observed in clear weather by one male experienced witness in a bedroom. No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
