Test Pilot incident.
Test pilot's electrical system knocked out by cone of light from cucumber-shaped UFO. Blindness, damage to plane, emergency landing, loss of consciousness, hospital stay. Traces found. One cigar-shaped object was observed in undercast weather by one experienced male military witness in a warplane for ten minutes (Apraksin). Hynek rating: CE2: Close Encounters of the Second Kind Vallee rating: MA2: MA1 plus any physical effects caused by the UFO. Vallee reliability rating: 444: Firsthand personal interview with the witness by a source of proven reliability; site visit by a skilled analyst; no natural explanation possible, given the evidence.
