16 July 1945 Night oita, Japan 
USAAF B-29 - 73Rd Wing incident.
Pulsating circular red light at 10,000 feet at two o'clock position, on parallel course to aircraft for 5 minutes. Went into cloud. An unidentified object was sighted, but with appearance and behavior that most likely would have a conventional explanation. One red light was observed by one experienced male military witness in a warplane for five minutes.
