12 December 1948 - Monte Vista, Colorado , USA -   A meteor-like object was observed. Nocturnal lights were reported (Wright). Explanation: Meteor.

12 December 1948 - Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA -   Silent green fireball seen by Dr. La Paz; not meteor.

12 December 1948 21:02 - Bernal, New Mexico, USA -   USAF officers observed green fireball. Explanation: Meteor.

In mid-December 1948 - Lancaster, Ohio, USA -   An object, later identified as the planet Venus, was observed. Nocturnal lights were reported (Lamb). Explanation: Venus.

17 December 1948 01:30 - Ambridge, Pennsylvania, USA -   Formation of eight white luminescent rotating spherical objects. Explanation: Natural.

18 December 1948 - Great Falls, Montana, USA -   Two objects were observed by one witness (Doakes).

18 December 1948 - Boise, Idaho, USA -   A meteor-like object was observed. Nocturnal lights were reported (Rogers). Explanation: Meteor.

20 December 1948 20:54 - Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA -   AESS OP Sighted Green Fireball With Triangulation. Explanation: Meteor.

24 December 1948 07:13 - Ouchy Lausanne, Switzerland -   A flying disc was observed. One disc was observed by one witness.

In late December 1948 - Mojave Desert, California , USA -   Crashed Disc incident. Explanation: Debris.

28 December 1948 04:31 - Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA -   White object disappeared with greenish flash. Explanation: Meteor.

30 December 1948 16:00 - Atoka, Oklahoma, USA -   An object was observed from a car. One object, about 1 foot across, was observed in clear weather by one experienced male witness for a few seconds (Tinnin).

In January 1949 - USA -   A green fireball was observed. One green green fireball was observed.
