19 December 1978 06:30 - Avezzano, Italy -   Three nocturnal lights in triangle shape overhead, delta shaped object on ground. Electromagnetic effect, burns and deep ground marks in soil.

20 December 1978 20:00 - Taranto, Italy -   Orange ovoid leaves dark mass near ground for 30 minutes. Radio frequency interference. Witnesses flee.

21 December 1978 02:45 - La Rioja, Argentina -   Very large object headed formation of three other craft, flew north to south at 1000m altitude, lit up sky like day. Each white object had a green halo. Left bluish trail. Trucker said radio stopped working at time.

22 December 1978 00:15 - Casalnuova, Napoli, Italy -   Intense white light on dome, two green intermittent lights. 30m diameter. Close to 10 KV power line at first. Landed in field: soil analysis. Differences C north pH volatile materials in sample:control.

29 December 1978 Around 0400 - Wattsville Hwy308, South Carolina, USA -   Big bright light approached Jeep, hovered nearby. Electromagnetic effect: could not get jeep to move in any gear although engine continued to run. Object pulsated, made no noise. Sped off, jeep functioned OK.

31 December 1978 01:00 - Posada, Italy -   3m diameter glowing sphere over marsh. Dark triangular spots move back and forth on side of object.

In January 1979 19:20 - Pasiano, Italy -   Fog. Electromagnetic effect: engine and lights died. 10m diameter disc of light approached car. Made whistling sound, smoke, rose vertically, left odor.

In January 1979 20:00 - Santa Cruz W, Brazil -   Disc levitates woman 40m with beam of light. Sets her down. Ill afterward.

31 December 1978 After 2300 - Timaru W12M Horribl, New Zealand -   An object was observed. Electromagnetic effects were noted. Multiple independent witnesses. One object was observed in overcast weather by one male witness for several hours (Davis).
